Day 14, 6 October 2013

Day 14 we went around the town. The weather was cool, it felt like as if we were in a air con room all the time.

Going around

Such a colourful truck

Some of us saw a church so we decided to go in.

The exterior of the church.

The interior of the church.

After walking around the church, we went on walking around town and we saw a mosque.

Exterior of the mosque.

Sri Lanka is indeed a very clean country. But it surprised us that the places of worship were so well maintained. It felt like as if were in a Singapore church or mosque. Even though Buddhism is the main religion in Sri Lanka, the places of worship for the minority are also kept to high standard.

We then took the bus to go around and this is what caught our attention.

A small green colour hut with no other houses around it.

There was this sign. Sam told us that we could have lunch here, everything which was served here had something to do with strawberries. How could we say no to that? That's something we'll not get back in Singapore.

The menu. Everything had to do with straberries!

All of us sitting down thinking what to order.

Yum Yum!

Strawberry pancakes.

Some of the food we had. Even the drink we had was strawberry milkshake.

The strawberries were actually grown behind the hut!

This was probably the most coolest lunch we ever had. We did not plan it at all, but the food there was really very good. We had so much to eat. I'm sure most of us were bloated when we got back on the bus.I really wished I could pack some and bring it back home cause I'm sure no one at home would have ever tasted such great food! Never mind mummy and daddy, you can enjoy the pictures though.
